Why we built it

Home inventory documentation should feel manageable.

HomeContentsListPro gives people a clear place to record what they own, attach useful proof, and prepare information that is easier to work with after a loss.

The problem

Memory and scattered files are a difficult foundation for a claim.

Most people do not have a complete home inventory. Those who start one often end up with a spreadsheet in one place, photos somewhere else, and important purchase details missing.

The time after a fire, burglary, flood, or other loss is a particularly hard time to reconstruct years of belongings from memory. We built HomeContentsListPro to provide a practical structure before or after that moment.

The people behind the product

Firsthand claims experience, built into practical software.

We're Shawn and Rossana, the co-founders of HomeContentsListPro. We're based near Huntsville, Alabama. Rossana owns Property Data LLC, where we develop software for people and professionals working in the insurance and real estate industries.

Co-founder & Inventory Specialist

Rossana

Rossana has spent years helping people document their personal property after losses such as fires and storms while working closely with public adjusters. She saw the same problem repeatedly: people coping with stress and grief were being asked to reconstruct a lifetime of belongings from scattered photos, sparse notes, handwritten lists, and memory.

Through careful inventory work, she has helped dozens of clients prepare substantially more complete claims and get better insurance payouts. Her experience guides how HomeContentsListPro organizes belongings, supporting evidence, and replacement details.

Co-founder & Developer

Shawn

Shawn has spent more than 20 years creating websites and apps and finding creative ways to solve practical problems with code. He often says, “A human should never have to do a job a computer can do,” and will build a tool whenever software can organize a complicated task or save someone hours of repetitive work.

That approach shapes the product: technology should carry the organizational burden while people stay in control of the details and decisions that matter.

We combined those perspectives to help people create a thorough, organized record on their own—even if hiring a public adjuster is not an option. Our hope is that documenting a home before a loss makes recovery less overwhelming and helps families show the full value of what they owned, so they are less likely to be underpaid.
